The artwork was created for my solo exhibition in Japan from 6th December 2024 to 27th January 2025. We split the exhibition term1; December 2024, and term2; January 2025.
Basically, I welcome to collaborate with a land's history and character of people. The gallery belongs to a handcraft shop and it has a tiny bookshop next to the shop, I wanted to collaborate with the handcraft shop and the bookshop this time in my exhibition.
I was especially inspired by the handcraft shop owner, She loves cat so much, also Japanese maple leaves are famous view at the garden of shop. In early December wonderful to see the many red colours of maple leaves. I wanted the painting would be a master piece of this exhibition.
Also I have read "The Sea Around Us" The book tells me about the sea and gave me another wonder 'Where the salt come from, and where goes the salt?'. Almost every life needs the element except plants.

本作は2024年12月6日から2025年1月27日まで開催した、個展での作品の１つとして制作をした作品です。大変ありがたく会期自体が長かったため、前期と後期に分けて展示替えをしました。
制作の過程として、基本的にその土地の歴史や性格を大切にしています。うた種のミニギャラリーは手芸雑貨店の一部となります。同じ敷地には、フクロコウジという小さな本屋さんがあります。会場の性格を生かして手芸の要素や本を題材にした展示構成としました。
特にこの作品はギャラリーのあるうた種というお店からインスパイアされました。店主は猫が大好きで、店の庭では素敵な紅葉が見られるのが有名です。12月上旬には色豊かなの紅葉を楽しむことができます。この作品は展示のメインピースの１つとして描きたいと思い制作しました。
そのため、レイチェル・カーソンの書籍、とりわけ本作品は「われらをめぐる海」を通して海について知識を深めるうち、新たな不思議が思い巡りました。 ”塩はどこから来て、どこへ行くのだろうか” です。植物以外のほとんどの生命は塩を必要としているからです。
